Monarch Lodge No. 73 is a proud fraternal Masonic organization operating under the jurisdiction of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of California (MWPHGLCA). Since our founding, we have remained committed to service, leadership, and the uplift of our community.

Established in 1952 by Past Master Robinson Baker and a dedicated group of visionary brothers, Monarch Lodge—affectionately known as “The Beehive” has stood as a steadfast beacon of light in Oakland, California. For more than seven decades, we have worked to strengthen our neighborhoods through charitable outreach, mentorship, educational support, and the timeless principles of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth.

Our mission is simple yet profound: to serve the community with integrity, compassion, and unwavering dedication. As we continue to grow, we honor the legacy of the brothers who came before us while preparing future generations to lead with purpose and pride.
