Worshipful Master Taj A. Reid was born on November 10, 1970, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Laurence E. Reid and Maureen P. Dowdy. His early education began at Swifton Primary School and the School for Creative and Performing Arts (S.C.P.A.). He continued his academic development at Dater Junior High School and later graduated from Western Hills High School, both located in Cincinnati.

Demonstrating a steadfast commitment to scholarship and service, Worshipful Master Reid earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in African American Studies from the University of Cincinnati. As part of a Master of Education cohort, he completed his Special Education certification in Mild to Moderate Disabilities, followed by the attainment of a Master of Education degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

He concluded his formal academic journey by earning a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree from Purdue University in Lafayette, Indiana. This achievement reflects his dedication to educational leadership, personal advancement, and the empowerment of others through knowledge.

Worshipful Master Reid continues to exemplify the highest ideals of Freemasonry brotherly love, relief, and truth through his professional accomplishments, community engagement, and faithful leadership within the Craft.
