Monarch Lodge No. 73 & Regina Chapter No. 676th Annual Clarence L. Baker ‘Feed the Hungry’

On Saturday, March 21, 2026, Monarch Lodge No. 73 held its annual Clarence L. Baker West Oakland Feed‑the‑Hungry Pop‑Up, in partnership with Regina Chapter No. 67. The event was a tremendous success. By the grace of God, the brethren and sisters were able to feed 140 individuals, providing nourishment, compassion, and a warm presence to our West Oakland community.

In addition to the meals served, 100 donation bags were distributed. These bags contained a variety of essential items, including clothing, toiletries, and fresh fruit. This effort truly reflected the spirit of a “Beehive” event, as every hand was diligently at work in the quarry, laboring together in unity and purpose.

A special expression of gratitude is extended to Past Master Alfred Brown, who prepared the hot meals and procured the fruit that was generously given away. Appreciation is also extended to Worthy Matron Leah Hunter and the dedicated Sisters of Regina Chapter No. 67, who provided feminine kits and assembled all donation bags the evening prior.

We further acknowledge and thank the Past Masters in attendance for their guidance, encouragement, and steadfast support whose presence, as always, was both strong and inspiring.

In reflection of the spirit of service demonstrated throughout the day, we are reminded of Galatians 5:13: “By love serve one another.”

Monarch Lodge No. 73 looks forward to expanding this event in the years to come and continuing its commitment to serving the West Oakland community with compassion, dignity, and brotherly love.
